Drios (village)
It is a picturesque village on the south coast of Paros with lush vegetation, streams and beaches. It is 20 km from Parikia and 10 km from the airport of Paros.
Drios played an important role in the history of the island, especially at the time of Turkish occupation. Despite tourism development has a sweet calm and ideal for leisurely walks.
Great interest are the ancient Shipsheds (grooves in the rocks of the beach), which were used for hauling and prophylaxis of ships.
West of Drios in position Pyrgaki discovered Cycladic cemetery of the second millennium BC. Inside, on a hill (300 m), is the monastery of St. George,
Cycladic architecture and very near the cave with stalactites of demons.
